HELP: Eclipse CD3000 or Pioneer DEH-6850MP

Hi there guys,
I know lots of people have been asking this question before but here I come again..
Anyone of you have or are using this HUs mentioned above?
What are your experience? Good? Bad? Ugly?
Am planning on purchasing either one, both are roughly the same price as well..

I would take Pioneer, I've been using various model of pioneer eventhough most people say Eclipse sounds better. for me, the reasons are: Pioneer 6850 feature packed player, 7band EQ, nice animated display, robust, fast CD read, 4Volt preout. crossover built in and the sound quality really awesome for the price you pay. One more thing to add, the ZTH Pioneer seller Yohannes, is one of the best, fast response, simply an A1 seller.

most important is the to-amp pre-out if use amplifier, clean signal and no any hiss or unwanted noise from HU.

for pioneer for me is better compare others brand for use without amp. becos have very good buit -in power. but abit harss and q lot hiss sound..

eclipse just like alpine, for hard player but simple. but that is its

My opinion is that, if u listen mostly to Pasar Malam CDs or self-burned CDs, The Pioneer 6850 is the better option since it has variety of functions to correct the errors and imperfections due to poor recording. Eclipse on the other hand was claimed by many of having better SQ. To me SQ is something very subjective but the Eclipse set is definitely a good player as I have audited it before. One thing bad is that, the Eclipse does not have a detachable faceplate so there is a risk of theft. Think of your needs, your taste of music/design, definition of SQ and others. SQ does not depends on HU alone as there are many other factors too. In fact, it is very difficult to give 'correct' recommendations based on limited info you provide.

For me HU is the important thing... either home audio or ICe... the 1st place signal process data at HU not at others stuff.. if your HU send poor signal to others equipment until that signal reach to speaker... dont expect U will get good result even U use RM3K-6K comp set... coz that is a fact

My personal opinion is Pioneer. The Eclipse do not have a detachable face, so, very very risky with the current theft cases that we have around.
The feature on the Pioneer also looks nice. How it will sound? That will largely depends on your taste.

yup i have to agree with cacin, non detachable front panel is actually a big no no for me. fyi, the eclipse model with the lowest end cd1000 and only the highest end model cd 7000 comes with detachable fromt panel... funny la

I agree that HU is definitely important. Even u have RM15K HU and poor quality speakers the results can be even worse.(Just an example) Every single component in an audio system complements each other's role just like the human being. HU as the brain and the speakers can be your body parts. Like the footballer, having a good brain is important but you need healthy body parts.:shades_smile:

I have audit 1 car using very good HU (MX406) with cap ayam driver... the sound beyond my expectation wooo... Only HU have value but others stuff dont have 1.. come to TT & U can audit it yourself...

btw, tuning play a really big role......but u need to match the equipment also...so everything is important....

but do you know pioneer go more hiss sound compare others?

i does not say only eclipse good, but i mean for amp player it is most valueble. 5v 55ohm 3pre-out, and clean signal too.

however i am using sony, also alot people say not good, but mine i think is very good in the price range. however depands
