Help About Vacuum Gauge CM/HG & INS/HG

Guys i just bought a vacuum gauge...
and i was wondering normal vacuum gauge uses INS/HG but mine uses CM/HG
whats the diff and how to calculate the difference?

and what would be the normal idle vacuum for my car which uses CM/HG
wira 1.5

normal idle will be 20 ins/hg
so, in cm/hg will be 50.8

cm/Hg is metric (centimeters in mercury) whereas in/Hg is imperial (inches in mercury)

yeap... its normal... coz when aircond on, there is load to ur engine due to aircond compressor... the load will bring down ur vacuum reading...

mine vacuum reading when off air cond is 22IN/HG
once turn on air cond, it will be around 20IN/HG.
is this consider normal?
actually wat will affect the vacuum reading?
timing? A/F ratio?

ignition timing too advance... retard it lower... under acceleration, do u hear engine pinging sound??...

i didnt hear any pinging sound.
retart it lower means, if i standing on the battery side, then i need to turn the distributor back to the firewall side, right? (means anti clockwise)
BTW, will AFR affect the vacuum reading as well?

erm... if stand at the battery side (driver side), u looking at the distributor cap rite??... turn anticlockwise to retard...
