I am planning to install this piggyback(m7) for my perdana v6 NA all together dyno+siap pasang RM1700 quoted by my mechanic. He also mention it's exactly the same as emanage blue but its a newer version. The current mods I have for my car is an oped pod air filter( APEXI ), 2.3 inch exhaust piping, stock extractor, Iridium spark plugs, GAB SS adjustables, superpro bushings, manual transmission and other minor mods..

My next service coming soon, I've been using fully synthetic 5w30 for my engine since it's been overhauled.. so I was wondering what's the most suitable engine oil i should use before going for the dyno? and what else should I prepare?

and are there better piggybacks compared to the m7?like more tuning capabilities?I've seen some at mudah but got no warranty.. the m7 offers a 1 year warranty.

What other mods should i do before installing+tuning the piggyback to save future cost,(using bigger injectors recommended?)

Can this piggyback damage my engine? would it shorten my engine's live? How do i prevent this?

Need advice, thank you.

ps: currently browsing through the FAQ :D

i think 5w30 not the type for your engine...30 actually is for 1.3cc and below...maybe u can use 5/10w 40/45...
M7 em-com is the same item as emanage...only rebranding...enough for your engine and mod...for the pricing is from RM1350-1500 including installation & dyno setting...

I never knew that lol, anyways i was planning to change to motul 5w40 soon, i feel that 5w30 is too thin. But i thought that w30 is something to do with its thickness when it's heated up?
anyways cause my mech is actually at gombak, and he does the tuning at a seperate shop(in sunway), probably that's why higher a bit, but ill try to kautim till that price range :D
thanks for the advice

another question to add, perdana v6 engine(6a12 dohc) mitsubishi states it's able to produce up to

DOHC & sports ECU

Engine type — V type 6-cylinder DOHC 24-valve
Compression ratio — 10.0:1
Fuel system — ECI multi
Peak power (1994–1996) — 127–132 kW (173–179 PS; 170–177 hp) at 7000 rpm
Peak torque — 191 N·m (141 lb·ft) at 4000 rpm

am i able to achieve this power with installing the piggyback? I was told that proton did some emission regulation and the engine power dropped. Can i gain this power back with just this piggyback or do i have to mod other things?

regardless of what type of piggyback u preferred, it actually goes back to the tuners proficiency itself.

in your case, choose the right tuner for your emcon.
a good tuner can make the best out of a simple piggyback to be much useful than a standalone.

being N/A, don't expect too much gain in torque and horsepower (unless engine internals, fuelling and cams are not OEM) what is obvious is that you will definitely have a better A/F through out your RPM

So what mods should I do before going for the tuning so it can be tuned efficiently thus more power can be gained?

engine oil grade/viscosity for any engine shud never be determined like dat, its according to the engine tolerance. if the engine comes from factory or custom built with tighter tolerance, then use a thinner engine oil like those of 0w-20, 5w-30. the 2jz when new was supposed to use a 30weight oil fyi

so, in order to determine an engine oil for ur motor, i wud use the thinnest dat it can operate on without losing its volume too much across the service interval, or get a comparatively 40weight or thicker oil if the motor is used aggresively

m7 ems is the same as an emanage, as long as u get an original unit, then u'll be fine. get it tuned on loaded dyno

Another question, let's say Ive send my car for dyno tuning with this piggyback, later Ive sent my car to top overhaul. Do i need to re dyno it again?
