i read the newspaper proton advertisement claimed that Gen-2 1 litre of petrol/fuel can make 17KM.........really ke?

like this if say 40 litres X RM1.96 = RM78.40

40 litres X 17KM = 680KM?

RM78.40 can make 680KM?

hahahah this is damn fuel saving leh.......

got such thing meh? i think even for Manual Gen-2 also cannot make it loh

it maybe the 1 litre fuel can make 17km is calculated on highway without any car at all to kacau hahahahahaha

Gen-2 is actually a wonderfully designed car.. imagine New Honda City looked like Gen-2 ... with the Honda badge ... it'll look fantastic ! And imagine Proton coming out with something that looked like the current City .... bleh~~ haigh.. a well designed car let down by the extremely low build quality of Proton.... poor engineers and poor consumers. oh by the way ...my kancil did 230km for RM50 ... my audi did 480km for RM100 .... haigh ... both also fuel guzzlers.. ..

yaya they test b4, but after u know how they test it, u won say it is wrong.
they hang up the car to test de, mean no friction n also no weight, thats y can run further.

lol ..... hmm speaking of these tests ... anyone saw the video whereby Jeremy Clarkson drove an Audi A8 4.2 liter V8 with 70 liter tank and drove for 1280km ... met traffic jams and so on. That is extraordinary.

i also driving gen-2, i dun think so that gen-2 much petrol consumption, bcoz i try 1 time b4 which was in tis year, i going back to kl from ipoh tat time i really drove at 90 km/h. when i reach d'msara toll, i found only use around RM20 only (RM1.620/litter).

probably they took out the spare tyre, the back seat, the front passenger seat?probably they installed some fuel saver product?probably they did the testing in the middle of the night where there isnt any traffic?

how many of us try that before?

yup... that correct.... if manual car, try to shift ur gear around 2k to 2.5k.... sure save fuel 1.....

probably they just make a calculation based on the theory...... and calculate constantly for 100kmph....... without calculating the 0 to 100... accelaration

theres this fine line printed at the bottom of the advert.... test was made on a constant speed of 90km/h......

on highway i guess....

i think it is possible... on long distant journey... my wira was able to clock more than 500km on a full tank when i went back hometown.

at KL.. if my dad drive.. whoa... it turns into a petrol guzzler clocking less than 400km.... but when i drive.. i was able to clock 450km.. +/- ... so i believe it depends on your style of driving. I managed that by being very light footed.. like maintaining speed below 90km/h... rpm below 3k...

maybe my dad always go on traffic light drags with other uncles on wheels. hahahaha.

all gen2 owners.. at ur car speedometer place.. next to ur mileage there got a button for u to change the mode and see how many litres per 100km..

mine is 10.3/100KM i already control to almost 90 driving d.. and shift below 3rpm.. (auto can do it too)

before this.. its highest record.. was.. 13.9L/100KM!!!!!!!!




and indeed.. its based on theory they made that statement.. cos.. in ur car manual.. it says.. that ur car is supposed to run at 6 point something litres/100km.. i read the newspaper and i saw that.. i was like.. 'uhhh.. my gen2 is 10 pointsomething /100km.. '
