Drive By Wire System

My Gen2 using drive by wire system aka electronic throttle where it does not have a throttle body only sensors acticating a/f based on diffrent throttle positions. One mech told me this type of car very hard to tune for performance and can't use piggyback ecu or standalone ecus. Any views?

the only standalone can tune drive by wire aka fly by wire
as i know is Motec M400, M600 and M800

no idea on Haltech or other car
