Hi guys, Since car-theft is rampant nowadays, here's some additional security. This job was done on a Proton Wira. Required items (can be easily obtained from any electronic shop): 1) Switch (single-pole, single-throw recommended) 2) Wire (thick ones, length depends on where you want to put the switch) 3) 6x Connectors, 4 female 2 male (spade-types would suffice. Not recommended to just connect using sticky tape, as what normal workshops will do) 4) Crimper (used to crimp the connectors) Process : 1) Remove negative terminal of the battery - Just a pre-caution 2) Remove rear seat. - Remove the 2-bolts near the seat-belt. You need to push the cushion down a bit to see them. - Bend down and you'll notice 2-hooks on the bottom-left & bottom-right. Pull them and lift the seat up. 3) Cut fuel-wire - It is the thick Black/Blue wire. - Leave ~1inch length of wire from the connector block. - Denpending on your choice, you may cut the fuel-wire at a different location. http://photo.ringo.com/246/246547863RL733107632.jpg http://photo.ringo.com/246/246547848RL934942412.jpg 4) Look for a suitable spot to hide the switch - Now you know where the switch is going to connect to, find a good hiding spot for your switch. - Measure the distance of your routing between the switch and the place you cut your fuel-wire. This will be the length of your wire (Add a few additional inches to your cable length just incase something screwed up). Please try to limit your distance to http://photo.ringo.com/246/246547860RL277850786.jpg 5) Crimp the connectors - Now is the time to do the crimping. - Recommend to put (may differ on the type of switch you use) :

1x male, 1x male to the fuel-wire
2x female on 1 wire (1x female to the switch, 1x female to the fuel-wire)
1x female, 1x male (1x female to the switch, 1x male to the fuel-wire)

http://photo.ringo.com/246/246551202RL383635816.jpg *Red is male, Blue is female - Just as a precaution, put a male & female at the fuel-wire. Check all connections and no exposed wires are touching the body of the car (body = GND) - Connect the switch (in OFF position) - Reconect the battery's negative terminal - Turn the ignition key to ON position - Make sure you do not see any sparks near the newly installed stuff - Put the switch into ON position - Start the car. It should run like normal. Turn OFF the switch, and the car should die off by itself! 7) DONE! Put back the rear-seat and hide the switch!
