i've actually sprayed my engine head about a couple years back with "ARROW" brand aerosol can (those RM5-RM6 that you can find in any hardware store). It only lasted about a year plus and it started to crack due to the heat. Nothing peeled off though.
But after awhile, it looked like its been air brushed - fine 'lightning' pattern lines. Looks cool but persoally acquired taste.
