HI Guys,

I've been a little uncommunicative of late. I got some bad news a couple of weeks ago. My mom has been diagnosed with cancer and I've been busy sorting things out for the family. She has to go through a major op on Wenesday, and chemo after. Which is why I've spent so much time at Lee's lately getting things ready. I expect to be making many, many trip up north back to my home town and I want my vehicle to be ready at all times.

I'll be leaving tomorrow evening with my bro, and will probably not have access to the internet until the weekend, but we'll see.

On the bright side, I might have some time to send the car to my old exhaust man in SP to get a Y-pipe made...but we shall see...

defcon, same here. Sorry to hear about that. Hope she recovers speedily.

Some Godly request would come really handy when situation like this. What ever faith you believe, just have some silent moment and ask for support and help. And surely and certainly you would have solution. Also believe me, some doctors would tell you scary thing and I do not blame them as is their duty to tell what they know...but keep the spirit HIGH. I tell by experience.

Wish for you mum recovery and you take good care...surely the faithful Cefiro would give you the best transport.

My support goes to you...

Hang tough deffy and our prayers for your mom. Drive safe and be safe.

Many thanks for all the wishes. Mom is recovering from her op, but regretfully, the doctors found her tumor inoperable. Our next option is radio and chemo theraphy. She will be flying to KL next week for her first appointment with her new doctor (obviously she does not trust me and my trusty Cefiro...).

Apart from the initial shock, most of the family is taking it quite well. But I will have to watch some members especially my Dad. Being the eldest ain't easy at any time. Everyone thinks that I have the answers.

Anyway, we came back driving after midnight this morning. Arrived in KL at about 4 am. Car did well with the new Y-pipe, and most times we were doing a sedate 150 - 160 kmh.

Only prob is, with a full load, the darn rear tyres tend to rub the fenders. I think I will either have to find a thinner spacer (mine is 1.5"), or raise the rear another half an inch or so. What do you guys think?

dont worry mate...ur mom will be fine.

as for ur tyres n spacer...the better solution would be getting a 1" spacer but u would need to change ur rim. so this would be out of the question.

the only way is to raise ur car n knock out the fender lips. check for visible mark on the lip. thats the contact point i believe...
