i own a datsun 140y....planning to swap the engine 4 more power....

wut engine do u guys recommend???
prefer 1 tat could pass 4 jpj inspection

sam. before that. you should ask him . his 140Y on a14 ?
some 140Y mostly use a12 and a15 engine since teh a14 stuff very rare here in malaysia.


escavos : you planning to swap your engine ? if your 140Y on stock engine = a14 its a potential engine. do some minor modification on it, high cam ...
get a better carb such as : weber (twin weber or 4 throttle also can,need a right tapak and inlet manifold to fit).
if swap : 1.5cc n/a C20 vanette engine (most 120Y using it,maybe easily to pass jpj or puspakom)but if 1.8cc with turbo you can go for ca18det from S13,RPS13 or 180sx , 2.0cc n/a = S14 SR20DE , or 2.0cc turbo = S14 SR20DET puspakom :)


remember upgrade your braking system too :) .

Datsun 140y...i own a Datsun 120y...its a station wagon...da max i can go on da highway is 90kmh...that also da steering vibratin already...engine very loud...dare not flaw any more...any reccommendations to increase performance?

can i go for the same mod as 140y?

before this i thought all 140y is running on a14..


anyway.. even though a15 (1498cc) have more cc than a14,
but strange thing is if both is stock condition, a14 have more hp.
