Custom made intercoolers

Anyone know where I can 'order' made to order (custom) intercoolers. I give the size measurements, they make it for me. Plus additional piping / installation etc.

there's no local manufacturer of intercooler cores as far as I researched..the ones we have here are china/taiwan "greddy" types. I think GT Auto have several Garrett cores, you can buy the cores and have end tank fabricated.

just buy off the shelve with your requirements/specs close or similar to yours.

AFAIK, most malaysian cars already have an intercooler customly made for it

Fidelity Radcore.
Sunway. opposite a hardware store that sells nuts and bolts.
can custom make heat exchanger ( radiator / intercooler / fluid cooler and etc. )

Hello Guys,

Reviving this old thread.....

Does anyone know if there is a universal intercooler with a 2" inlet/outlet? I have been searching around, all the big brands, their universal intercooler is 2.5" or 3". Another brand has 2.25". Just wondering if there is such thin as a 2" inlet/outlet intercooler.

Would i have any negative effect by doing so?

To be more specific, im planning to upgrade my intercooler and pipings. Im planning on doing a custom 2" i/c pipes. But im wondering, what will happen if the intercooler inlet/outlet is not the same size as the pipings? (smaller)

1600cc Turbocharged. Currently with 2.5" downpipe. Everythingelse stock. Will do up the exhaust system later. Then will do my intercooler. So thats why im asking about it.

So any advise?? 2" pipes with 2.5" intercooler outlet/inlet is ok??

yes it will be just fine. but better source for those intercoolers made in japan not those china ones. Taiwan is also fine.

Thank you Danz. I was not sure if it is ok to do it this way. Coz i thought should be same as the intercooler inlet/outlet. And further reading on the net, there are some who do different sizes for their hot and cold side. But i never came across one that does a pipe size smaller than the inlet/outlet. Hence i wasnt sure.....Hahahahhaha....THanks alot.....

if u running on std setup & turbine then its alright, unless u running on a 300-500whp engine with GT35 turbine then it makes a lot of difference.
the purpose of an intercooler is to cool down your turbine. that's all.

Ahhhhh ok ok. I am not going to push it up so much. Just maybe to about 200whp/300wnm. With a remap after after all hardwares. So now researching on the intercooler topic. Alrights then....So 2" pipings with a 2.5" inlet/outlet intercooler....
