CT9 or CT12 turbine is better?

Hi All!

I'm not exactly a Toyota owner... but I need your help guys...

I'm using a Daihatsu Charade Gtti engine (cb70) that has a Toyota CT12

turbo turbine... So, if I may ask...

Is a ct12 better over ct9? If I'm not mistaken, a ct9 is from a Toyota Starlet ep82

and a ct12 is from a Toyota Supra 1g-gte, Toyota Celica, Toyota Starlet ep91...

In terms of :

performance,

torque,

response

tendency to lag...

Any sort of information given is greatly appreciated...

ep91 is ct9b

the ct12 is slightly bigger than the ct9 so will tend to lag slightly for ur car but the ct12 is capable of producing more power.

i beg to differ deongster, ct12 has smaller turbine housing hence making lower power in the higher revv, providing it comes from the previous 1.3liter starlet's 12V turbo. ct12's response shud be good on the 4efte!!! hoho..

If you using the Gtti Engine:
Performance - (Low Rev): CT09
Performance - (Hi Rev): CT12

torque: CT12

response: CT09

tendency to lag: CT12

BTW, the EP91 (stock) is still CT09 la...

Btw, the mech said it came from a supra 1j-gte...

So, is it bigger or smaller compressor guys?

It seems bigger la, to the naked eye.

Oh! Ep91 still using ct9 ka? I heard from a mech in Cars And Conversions

that they were using ct12's? hahaha... No idea la, no hands on, I may be

wrong also...
