Crazy bill from service centre

Guys,

I have a problem with my crankshaft which needs to be replaced. The pulleys attached also needs to be replaced together with the water pump and all the belts. Below is the breakdown of the quotation that they gave me.

Crankshaft - RM 3630
Timing belt set with pulley and water pump - RM 2117
Labor - RM 500
Total - RM 6247

So, i asked for a quatation to change engine and this is what they gave me.

Engine kosong - RM2300
Timing belt set with pulley and water pump - RM 2117
Labor - RM 500
Total - RM 4917

This is total madness rite!!!!!Now my car is still in the service centre. Plan to tow to nearest workshop.

Anybody knows any good shops around Ulu klang area. My car is in Wesstar Service centre. The one rigjht beside MRR2 and beside a ketuk shop i think.....

the price is a little big over...
but they are the authorized honda service centre...mayb that y the $$$ is sky high...
but nowadays hardly can find single cam engines....
my frens's workshop is near to batu caves giant...
if u need any help...
u can pm me..
i try to ask him to qoute u a price...

juz returned from workshop and they quoted me as below:

Engine kosong + labor - RM 2500

I think this is way better than the damn service centre. I`ve taken the offer.

Is Wesstar Service centre an authorized honda service centre?? and how come la the crankshaft is more expensive than the engine kosong? ..

this price can get Toda Cam Pulley, Toda Belt & Toda pump edy... altho for B series 1..

i think shld be, same as Mugen & Toda, just OEM by Honda....hahahha...
