Considering a 89-92 Corona 2.0

Dear Toyotarian,

There was a title 'Considering a Cynos' before and u guys give a
great reply.

I'm looking for your opinion and info rgding this model (Corona ST171
'89-'90) maintance, fc for 3S-FE (M), parts and 'pimp'ability.

Is it adviseable to convert its pcd from 5 x 100 to 4 x 100 cause i already
bought 17" vr but it is 4 x 100. pls see attachment.

mat tayar.. i would like to say this car is quite easy to maintain.. as i have one right now.. apart from the engine is only 1.6 i.e 4-AF.The differences only cc..bhp and 4 wheel studs.
ST171 has good engine.in term of fc..i think its suitable for a big corona.. ehehe here its call carina..

Quite roomy car..biG boot.and easy to repair.. espically for those DIYers.

Just go for it.. ermm how much roughly u can get in the malaysian market?

MY market price for ST171 vary frm RM16k-22k depend on year
and trans. I never saw any 1.6 corona here.I assume urs
AT17x right? where's ur frm anyway?

this is a good and reliable car ... my father still using this car from 92 ...
from what i know there is no major problem with this car since my father bought it ..
but of course my father car is still stock standard ... this car can smoke the old stock standard 2.0 accord easily ... put in 3SGTE and it will boost ur ride ......

yesterday i took my carina for test..alhamdulillah its passed.Soon i have to get rid off her coz i'm going back at the end of july..

Considering its age.. most of the carinas end up in da scrapyard.sometimes i went there to get bit and pieces to make it look mint..
