Mac supports both Firewire & USB 2.0.

Personally, I tried and realised that iPOD (Firewire) is slower than Portable HDD (2.5"-USB2.0).

But reviews says that FireWire External DVD-RW is faster than USB 2.0 External DVD-RW. Haven't tried the previous (Sony Firewire DRX810UL).

Yu, why don't you invest on a cheap USB HUB and see whether you see any improvements. You can normally shared non-data intensive USB devices on the hub (mouse, keyboard, thumb-drive). I tried up 1 mouse & 3 thumb drives before on that hub...heck, it works well....

Today the message show again, after I click the message it show:

After I click Reset, it's ok, but after some time this message show again, & the bold words will go to the next(bellow)

OK, let me use only key board & mouse, the 2 printer will unplug & see.

Now I'm using only 2 USB, 1 is mouse & keyboard, the message still show, any 1 can help?

yu, looks like something wrong with your onboard USB hardware drive.
