so I have seen a few older performance engines in Thailand that have been upgraded to more modern style coil packs, (coil on plug)

it is a pretty affordable upgrade, but what are there any advantages of changing to this setup (if any)

cheers

nope, no advantages actually, unless you'll have a standalone ecu control the dwell time precisely and you're aiming to hit super crazy horsepower figure.

thanks, probably won't bother then, unless there is a problem with the current stock coil then it might be worth it

Hi,

Does anyone know what needs to be done to make this work?
The MIVEC heads are taller than the non MIVEC heads and it needs a special timing belt.

Anyone know if 4G9X 81mm pistons can be used? If so their respective CR?

Or, does anyone know if 81.5mm oversize 4G9X pistons can be used in the 6A12 to make it 2.2L?

Thanks
