coil nissan A33

What are symptoms if one of coil is spoilt?

I heard nissan A33 got 6 coils.

There is cut off in engine sound sometimes and when checked with mechanic, i was told that its due to coil.

Pls advise sifus...

Yes, engine can die with a faulty coil or erratic idle. Open up all the s.plugs and look at the sprak plug. The one with the spoilt coil should be black or much much blacker compared to the others. Another test is to idle the engine as slowly disconnect and connect each coil connector. The faulty coil will have little to no effect on engine idle. The good coil disconnected will cause the engine to idle rough and smoothen back when connected.
