clutch problem..i suppose

Hi all,

got few questions here, 1st,whenever i`m in 1st gear or in reverse, there`s a 'hissing' sound coming from the engine,one mech told me its the clutch bearing., really aa? 2nd, when my car is on un-even surface i cannot start my car, it will go dead.. could it be the fuel pump?roughly how much for b16a fuel pump?or can i fit a b18c`s? 4 the record,im using b16a standard...

rm880?huiyo..no thx bro...shiro,i dont know how to explain what kind of hissing sound la, but its noisy..and does clutch have a bearing?and last time i tried someone else`s clutch,its much lighter than mine.

yeah, dats the main problem, clutch plate or bearing problem

if it makes a noise when you push the clutch in but not when its out then it is the clutch release bearing, if it makes a noise while in gear but not when you press the clutch pedal in then it is the input shaft bearing

you should let your mechanic verify the problem first, assuming is not a good idea. there could be other problems related to it. by hook or by crook the gearbox has to come down.
