A global car like the Chevy Cruze should be available in a number of convenient body styles to suit the needs of the market. So following the success of the Cruze in sedan guise, General Motors have released the details of a five-door Cruze hatchback that will be officially unveiled at the Paris Motor Show later this month.
From the shots, the car looks very production-ready, hence no major changes are expected once it reaches the showroom floors. The roofline has been swept back for a sporty silhouette while a new body-frame integral system (BFI) adds stability and solidarity.
Cargo capacity has shot up, standing at 400-liters now with a 60/40 splitting rear seat. Much of the rest should remain similar to the sedan version with the model expected to start being sold in Europe mid-2011.
