prepare to pay a huge amount of money for the freaking expensive parking fee.

but the maintainence , ie - parking , petrol will cost more then the car eventually .

U mean if i buy the car there, pay full then i can import it back to malaysia including tax at a very very cheap rate and i can drive in malaysia without having to violate the malaysia car law?

It may not be expensive but also costly. For example, if u drive a Honda Civic in US bought at the price of USD18k.
The import tax will be appprox. 10-15% of the price of the car, plus another 12-15% VAT. Total average tax is 25% of the price of the car.

That will be USD4500=RM 17,100 wif terms n conditions applied. Depending on the duration of the car used on US roads, the regis yr, etc.

Maybe, RM17k for tax is cheap for u.

haha yeah,

my plan is to get it as weekend car..monthly park is fixed around HKD$1500 but most probly i will park at my frens house free if she is moving to N.T house with car park...weekly use so the petrol will be around HKD$250 to $500 per week....since the maintainance is expensive so drive less lo...but atleast can experience a skyline/evo wut?

still ok laa...atleast you got the car cheap and other high cost is variable cost....drive less pay less lo... in malaysia...eventhough the maintanance is cheaper but cant afford skyline.... no use... :P

r u sure average tax altogether is around 25%+? If that's the case i can import car from brunei to malaysia right? i m bruniean so i don't need to worry about stuff here, and the car cost here is quite cheap, what other term and condition must i be bind to be able to import car and drive it in malaysia?
Coz i wanna get a silvia s15 and import it to kl by this year end if its allowed

I'm seriously interested with all the cars listed in the auction & was wondering whether by any chances i'm able to get my contacts for the import tax to brought back the cars to M'sia.

Import duties for CBU passenger cars from 2004 onwards (non-Asean) :

1800cc- 2000cc- 2500cc- =>3000cc - 200%

Source : MITI

So if you buy the WRX in HK for RM55,000, and the Customs accept RM55,000 as the fair valuation of the car, you will have to pay RM55,000 as import duty (since WRX is in the 1.8-2.0 tax bracket).
