Hai. currently driving caldina zt . wanna ask can the caldina old model engine 3s gte ( st215 ) manual convert to my ride.
 
What year you caldina born?drive FF or 4WD?why want to use an old engine now caldina have many half cut....
 
05 caldina zt FF Ride. less power so wanna upgrade turbo . heard that st 215 is more powerful than st246 . and its manual transmission , i more like manual than auto .any suggestion
 
my opinion...

even if u want manual, if take halfcut st215 still alot hassle, better take fullcut st246, transfer all (engine, gb auto, front & rear diff)...
then try running first, if everything goes well, then get the transmission & running gear from st215 for 2nd project...

problem faced,
- pedal for clutch will interrupt foot brake,
- transfer foot brake to hand brake, must sacrifice your center console.

propose,
- BOT your current engine
- convert 3sgte auto, but running just fwd (already been done here)

*guys from Russia has successfully convert caldina st246 to manual, try google...

what i know bout this 3s gte engine is the PS is same 260ps even for st215 or st246....st246 is from model GT-FOUR C edition,GT-FOUR and GT-FOUR N edition for ST215 is model GT-T,GT-T aerial specification ang GT-TS version...only the difrent is st215 have a manual transmission and st246 is only auto transmission and the POWER DENSITY

Care to share on how 3SGTE auto convert to FWD? Can stock GT4 auto convert to fwd?
