Boost reading drop? why ?

well before this i had this few hair line cracks at the flapper port which , is slow to hit full boost and its really slow . so change to a another turbo twin fin , and also had a small crack at the flapper port too , but doesnt look that bad as my previous one , after a few months driving it , performance starts to degrade , so now suspecting the studs & the crack at the flapper cause the fumes is really strong , confrim there is a leak in the engine bay , so best way is to sell the engine off which im doing it very soon . give up playing cars already :P .

if you are loosing performance , and if you think its the actuator , then you must see if the wastegate flapper is stuck open or there is a slight gab between the flapper & exit port . and for your info mitsu tdo5h turbo & exhaust manifold has this cracking problem at the exhaust housing & manifold , they are very well known for this problem . so if its not the actuator or bov or hose , it can be your turbine / ext manifold housing has slight crack or exhaust manifold studs are broken and cant hold the manifold tight enough .

cause im facing this problem too and im aware of runing on 4 broken manifold studs , which im really loosing pressure at high revs and i can smell lots of exhaust fumes while boosting .

Yes, its that small round thingy that is suppose open or close the wastegate flap

WHAT :eek: did I read that VES is giving up on Mods! THE END IS NEAR .....
 
maybe i got to study bout turbo stuffs 1st..alot of things got to learn from d Sifu's here......coz turbo cars very troublesome one
 
Hi bro i am back again >my problem boost drop already solved...3 area licking (bocor ) verry difficul to fine must check propely.Host check using air sabun.. similer like check gas licking at kicthen..changing host n boost reading back to normal 0.8bar BOV stock vr4 is ok.Now my car already setting like normal no problem sebu ,sengal ......Sattle my problem..tq u all turbosgeng.

check d hoses while engine is running? d leaking is little bit only or alots of leaking a?

checking fizically cannot fine..because i normal idling engine the host cannot see koyak.... just fine buble..i line at host..
