The BMW Group Malaysia celebrated the conclusion of its record-breaking 2010 financial year by rewarding the top-performing dealers and individuals that helped the group surpass its target for 2010 by selling a total of 4,509 units of vehicles in the country, a combination of all its business units, BMW, Mini and BMW Motorrad.

“The past year was another record year in terms of growth for BMW as we have seen accelerated recovery from the global economic downturn across the globe and especially here in Malaysia. In 2010, BMW Group Malaysia managed to report record numbers across our business with a grand total of 4,509 vehicle sales in the country, comprising of 4,006 BMW vehicles, 222 Minis and 281 Motorrads. This success can certainly be attributed in part to the respected partners throughout our 15-strong 4S dealership network,” said Geoffrey Briscoe, Managing Director of BMW Group Malaysia.

BMW have a group of 15 4S centers across Malaysia that provides nationwide coverage for BMW customers alike. According to Frost & Sullivan’s projections for 2011, vehicle sales are expected to continue to rise this year, with the premium automotive segment in particular. likely to increase by 5 per cent during the year.

“Based on the 2011 first quarter results, we have already surpassed the sales achieved in the same period of last year by over 20 per cent with a total of 1,305 vehicles sold to date and I'm confident, especially with the introduction of new models such as the all-new BMW X3 and BMW 6 Series, as well as the Mini Countryman completing our range of premium vehicles and our dedicated network of 15 4S BMW dealerships across the country, that we will once again achieve a record number of vehicle sales,” added Briscoe.
