BMW 5 series 1980-85 bumper wanted

Hi all, posting on behalf of my friend.

Looking for the big type front bumper for the 1980's 5 series. Anybody know where he can get one in reasonable condition and not pay an arm and a leg for it? He had a bad accident long time ago, only got the small thin type bumper available but he doesnt want tht.... any recommendations would be great.

There are 2 different 5 series models in the 1980's. The E12 is produced until early 80's (I think it's 1981 or 1982) which was replaced by the E28.

If you are looking for E12 bumpers, good luck!

If E28, the big bumpers should be easy to find coz a lot of owners swap it for small bumpers.

Try your luck on www.bmwclubmalaysia.com, there are a few E28 owners there. Else, go to Optimum Automotive in PJ and ask if they have bumpers for sale. The workshop is same row as Esso if you are coming from Bandar Utama heading to Damansara Utama. Loof for Ah Foo, he is the boss and drives an E28.

yes, try ur luck at BMW Club malaysia as we have a few E28 owners there.

if not u can always go to bodykit shop make a M5 replica front bumper ;)
