long long ago no matter wat car n u wan to convert wat engine
u wil get the approval from jpj n puspakom
for eg:a wira 1.3 convert to evo 2.0 plus evo front n rear bodykit wil also get approval from them
but now
the most of 1.3 can go is 1.6 n the most 1.5 can go til 1.8

ceedy86: whether a 1.8 mivec can eat a dc2 anot, its a subjective matter....depending on wat u've mod n provided tat the dc2 has to b stock standard....else, tough chance mate....
 
I know why a Mitsu guy would wanna get a Vtec insted of any other mitsu engine.... I hate the damn teppet sound. VTEC u can tekan here and there redline no problemo, you stop at traffic, ur car is silent and engine is smoott, mitsu, can boost anf boost and when u stop got teppet teppet sound! like a song in ur head! hahaha... talking by experience here =) cheers!

i heard someone has put in v6 mivec in wira..is it wise to do?? can put in putra oso? v6 engine is too heavy, does it affect handling? how about the power of the engine(mivec v6)..reliability? parts? can mod to twin turbo?:retarded:
 
You are right spydersir... it's a 4g93 block... that one can still rebore and restroke....

As for 1.8 mivec vs a V6 mivec... hmmm... the only advantage I know is that handling will be better as well as power to weight ratio since it's a lighter engine block.
 
ermmm, as for stroking a 4G93, i haf yet to see one.......heard some mad scientist tried plonking in a 4G94 crank n 82mm pistons to make it a 2.0++ L..... but then, so far its oni been rumours....would love to see one tho.....
 
Hmmm... I tot that was possible to restroke a 4g93... gotta check out with one of the guyz in the Putra Collective who I think I heard that he restroke his 4g93t.
 
but it needs lots of money to modd 4g93.. if wanna play vetec juz trade in an eg la..

Quite fast but not damm fast. It's only the superior b16a and power to weight ratio that make it quite fast. For Ipoh std, it is quite fast, but in KL the power is ordinary. But good imaginative by the mechanic.
 
errmmm, i nvr say its DAMN FAST...it is fast no doubt, 160bhp engine on a <1 tonne car.....but 13 years ago, u can roughly imagine what sort of competition it'll have...haha...so its no surprising tat the rumours continue's till today saying its Damn Fast......cheerzz =).....

Yes, not qouted by u, acctually by gsrTurbo9166. Sorry for the mistake :regular_smile: . 13 years ago is quite a long time. Are u sure coz I just ran with the saga around last 2 years. I should be the same saga coz the history story is the same - chinese owner to malay owner story. The malay oner is a mechanic himself if I'm not mistaken.

its alrite mate....haha....maybe gsrTurbo9166 is referring to the current saga vtec....i'm not sure what it has turn to now neither do i know who owns it now.......but 13 years ago, it was a chinese owner n i'm very very sure bout tat.....he had the car for bout 2-3 years b4 he sold it off to someone.....yes 13 years ago is quite a long time.......imagine those days where Vtec is still quite unheard of to most ppl n it found its way into a saga.....*salute* ....

I won by 7 cars margin in 300m match . Don't get me wrong. I know him (eventhough not very close because I went back to Ipoh once a month only and seldom hang around with them) through a friend. It was a friendly match by his request. By comparison, he can smoke std Sgti with a margin at least 2 cars length. The saga is fast but still has much room to improve. It's the money that matter.

It should be the same saga. The history and the age of the car itself do suit the picture. It still run strong nowdays. Vtec realibility is very high. :regular_smile:
