B16 engine?

guys, i want to know is that if i transplant a B16 into my current civic EG , the fuel consumption will be better compare to D16 engine? i meant normal drive, not open vtec all the time as im not really a person who like to race.... cause i heard a friend of mine say so when he did the transplant, he said the honda civic EG and EK body is heavy...

Just to add 2 cents of mine. I don't about Malaysia but here in my country in Pakistan you can chip B16 on OBD 1, and seriously I have achieved 13Km/L in my city where traffic is more pathetic then Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. If chipping is not available you can use Vafc1 or Vafc2 for fueling with an Fuel Pressure Regulator. According to my experience with this engine on idle this engine stands smooth with an AFR of 15.5:1.
