do i need to change ecu to manual ecu?

Temujin,
I assume u r talking about 180sx, I've done mine(KPS13) succesfully. You need manual tranny,clutch cover ,disc, bearing,clutch pump and wiring work at the starter connector at AT tranny.cost will not go beyond 1k.

anyways, howz the ecu? i've read at foreign forums that auto ecu is a bit different fr manual ecus but it should be ok..

wher did u get the parts for the conver?

howz urs? does it handle well?

I did my conversion for Z32... tranny, clutch, some mods to firewall to attach clutch paddle, paddle set (manual), clutch oil resevoir, rear diff (manual/auto different ratio). Mechanic says Nissan ECU auto can use for manual, but not the other way around...

... maybe he was wrong because I had to change my ECU also... engine not smooth after conversion, but after ECU change, all is well.

dats whut i heard from foreign forums, auto ecu can be used in manuals but not the other way round.. my mech says the same, but we'll see..

will be doing the conversion in 2-3 mths time.. meanwhile will be lookin for parts..
