Not too bad, actually it's been a long time ago I keep telling a few mech friends that degreeing stock cams do give results, the only caveat is that they have to measure clearance to make sure max advance available.

If play 1-2 deg, I think probably no issues, but when you play -4 on intake, +4 on the exhaust (example, this kind of setting doesn't work for high rpm.) that it becomes a worry for valve to valve/valve to piston contact, esp. when you play 9K rpm, because the crank doesn't show true TDC, unless you degree-in the cams before. some people get lucky, some people get broken valves.

But 190whp on stock B18c is very doable.. it's hitting 200whp that's the issue without increasing displacement.

But looking at the chart, perhaps playing with the intake and exhaust cams some more can move the torque higher to hit the 200hp mark, but without checking clearance, I don't think they dare let the exhaust cam close later.

running stock ecu or after market?

Definetely not stock ecu.... It must be dcloo's magic crome :listen: hehe...

Look at the a/f 13+ wow wow... maybe street car can la but i like to run below 12.6-12.8:1 less power but less heat also. :proud:

What ignition you run on your WOT from 6000rpm to 9000rpm?

I dunno, usually running a little lean with a little ign. advance. gets a bit more torque out (I noticed the AFR char). it does look pretty much like stock though.

Like chris, I also like mid 12s for WOT at high rpms, just need to set the ignition to suit.

And offsetting the cams can make wonders.. and also the rev limit.

186whp at 9K is not that uncommon,
after all, a stock 96 spec type R can generate 170+whp with stock rev cut at 8K. (dynojet also) I have the chart... somewhere... (>_>)

Increasing rpm by 1000, and a little bit of work on the cams, standard I/H/E mods.. I don't see why that number is unachievable by a stock engine by just playing the cams. Heck, with enough rpm, it could even make 200. You only need 105lbs-ft (or 142.4Nm) of torque at the wheels to make 200whp at 10K. With good B18C torque making a hell of a lot more than those numbers.. why not?

But isn't there a common formula where you set your rev limit depending on where you make your peak?

in crome/hondata u can play a lots of tricks to get more higher torque or hp
thats depend how u cheat the ecu to work properly on your engine
not only fuel n ignition u advance or fuel u have add on

Dcloo. If want to use chrome program, then the ecu need to be changed to OBD1 ECU? with the harness?
