oh. i thought the blue led ring on the speedo is for eco or something. hahaha. coz it changes from green when drive slow to blue when drive normal. so far no red color. :hmmmm:
What emblem is yours? Ring? maybe for something else. The blue emblem for my forester is the water temp emblem....lol

surprisingly on the jazz got no difference. like the ac compressor doesnt exist. LOL. oh, the new 2016 jazz no water temp gauge on the meter. just outside temperature only. dunno can set that to water temp or not. :hmmmm:
Same with Suprima S.

some mix feeling about temperature gauge.
Some driver don event see it until aircond feel warm, only notice needle at highest point.
Happened to me as a big lesson to always peep the gauge once a while. :banghead:
my nissan x-gear also no gauge, if red mean stop the car.

I noticed that my Wira 4G15's air cond seems to drain a lot of power from my engine especially during hot afternoon. On night time, early morning or on cooler days even with air cond switched on and compressor kicking in, the power drain seems to be less obvious.

Like when the compressor is kicking in during hot afternoon time, I notice a reduction in torque where I feel that my revs will climb but the pulling feeling from torque is not there. When I switched the air cond off or when the compressor is not kicking in, I can feel the pulling feeling from torque again. Is this normal that the compressor will draw this much of power especially during hot days?
Actually aircond compressor got 2 types that is rotary and piston.
Wira compressor are piston type where it is normal for power lost when it start working since a burden to engine..
Day time your aircond thermostat read that you need a lot of cool air where it will work more compare to night time..
If you want to cut a bit of the power lost, the best way is to lighten your crank pulley or block the heat into engine..

Hi TS,

I guess its pretty norm for Mitsubishi engine, same applies for my 4G63T.
I also feel the same, loss of power.

the rotary compressor very hard to find these days for 4gx engine. Even halfcut ones are not that good. Recon compressor mostly are pistons type. I broke my rotary compressor previously and now i think i'm using the pistons type coz very damn sluggish if ac is on. :bawling:

Those lightened and dampened crank pulley?

Even for your powerful engine, you can still feel the power loss from air cond compressor?

Do these rotary compressor had any disadvantages compared to piston ones?

Same loh! If taking power off the engine, even though at boost you can save some energy by turning the compressor off......lol
Normally from what I heard about house air conditioners, they are rated at 1 or 1.5hp. If our car's compressor drains away 1 to 2hp, we can still feel the power loss although the amount is so low.

You did NOT just compare home aircon with car aircon..... they run on different systems even though concept the same. Apala

different term of horsepower. AC hp is cooling capacity.

My 4G15 Auto 3 Speed, the problematic air con compressor significantly reduce the torque or speed by 40%. But after changing the air con compressor, I didn't face or feel the reduction anymore.

That bad? Mine was not that bad yet but I might say the drain can be like maybe 10-20% of my car's power. It certainly did not feel as much as almost half.

40% die loh! how to drive take so much power away.......:bawling:
