air leaking?!?

Dear all,

i've just change my timing belt this morning and by the time i drive my car back, i heard some sound air leaking sound coming out from the engine bay. so, when i opened up the bonnet cover, the sound even more clear.

i've send back the car to my mechanic and he said it's just air leaking and he didn't touch anything on that part while replacing the timing belt. he ask me to try driving it first and see if the petrol consumption will go up or not.

i'm just a bit affraid it will cost a bigger harm on my car. anybody know what's going on? any way to check on it?

never heard of air leaking before....
u opened up the bonnet and heard it; where does it come from?
feel along the pipes where u think u heard the sound from for air movement...
but really; can't think of "air leaking"...sorry

might be the vaccumm hose came off.. try pinpoint where the sounds come from, by feeling along the vaccumm hose or look for hose that came off.
