Get a proper sub. why want to go 8" or 10" when you can go 12" or 15". Low freq. need large cone area to play properly. So the bigger the sub the better it play low freq. with the same SPL. Oldies and R&B has lots of low freq. bass. 6. Get a dedicated amp for the sub. Go ported if you really want low bass.</blockquote>
