4WD to FF convertion

Hey guys, behalf of my fren ;wanna to ask about gearbox convertion.
Due to halfcut come with 4WD, if 4WD to FF , will we encounter side effect like check engine light "on" after convertion??
Did 4wd car come with different ecu compare with FF version ??
After removed 4Wd, will it affected ecu working function ??

I converted my FF car using 4WD gearbox... no probs, just lock it. Only problem is the 4WD gearbox is damn heavy! Reason? New engine is turbo-charged while the old engine is not. If I use old FF gearbox with new engine, it won't last more than 6 months.

my fren engine is just a NA normal engine,4G92 DOHC non mivec but come with 4WD.if convert with 4G91 gearbox, can it last ?? pls advice, thanks

If NA, should be no problem... then again, it depends on the FF gearbox condition (age, service life, driving style n etc).

ok, Thanks ... just want to make sure again , this convertion will not affected ecu working function right ??
4WD have sensor on the gearbox ??
will not because of something corrupted then give a check engine light on right ??
