i must say that Evo will be the best car to be used in time attack at sepang. with around 5++ hp, good aero, suspension setup & a good driver. sorry GT-R R35, the car was tooo heavy

I would say the EVO advantage comes in with a huge selection of parts and aftermarket support. I believe with enough money AND effort it can be done on the Subaru STi or RWD platforms as well.

If you look at WTAC, in Pro Class pos. 3 to 6 are RWD cars.

If you throw in dirt and gravel, 4WD would have a distinct advantage, but on a race track, RWD can be competitive.

i voted 4wd. and somehow i think evo or impreza is quite fast for time attack.. lightweight chasis and engine + high output = monster 4wd

however,
take note that the fastest track car is RWD...F1 car, MR layout..
fastest drag car is RWD...top fuel, MR layout...

for the best, i vote MR layout...
not for the best of the bang...

Mid engine rear wheel? MR2 and NSX can qualify. But most Porsche are considered to be rear engine rear wheel/4WD isn't it?

What? 2.22? That is considered to be very very fast for a FWD car. So, which position did it came up to?
