If James Bond were to get the new Aston Martin DB10 concept car to be his ride in the upcoming film ‘Spectre’, then it would be fitting if the villain were to be given a set of wheels in the similar fashion as well. In this case, Bond will probably be green in envy as the villain he’ll be up against will be driving the Jaguar C-X75 concept supercar.
Now we are all aware that the C-X75 was axed by Jaguar before it even reached the production stage and the powertrain is also an astonishing one as it features a 1.6-liter inline-four engine strapped with both a turbocharger and a supercharger.
But the C-X75 being used in the film will be a tad different as it is developed in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering where instead of having the aforementioned powertrain, it will instead house a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine from Jaguar themselves. Other JLR vehicles that will make an appearance in the movie include the Range Rover Sport SVT and the ‘Big Foot’ Land Rover Defender which was specially modified for the movie.
“This is an exciting partnership for Jaguar Land Rover and an opportunity to demonstrate the fantastic capabilities of the Special Operations team,” said the managing director of the Special Operations division, John Edwards.
