Which would you pick over the other: the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren’s new P1 or the Porsche 918 Spyder? If deciding among them is a bit tricky, why not picking all of them? Apparently that is the case for Paul Bailey who had decided that instead of settling with one or two of such machines, he decided to get all three of these extreme hybrid supercars.
Owning even one of these machines is going to be very hard as they were not only produced in a limited number, the price tag they bear are also astronomical. But that is not a problem for the U.K.-based businessman who had sold his communications company for a hefty sum of USD 40 million (RM 143 million).
But that is only one part of the story as the way he collected those car is also a must-tell tale. Already having the P1 in the garage, he drove over to the Ferrari dealership in the British supercar to pick up his spanking new LaFerrari. His wife then drove the LaFerrari and they headed to the Porsche dealership to pick up the 918. Bailey then switched into the 918 and let his friend drive the P1 and went on for a drive.
But this supercar owner is most likely not going to keep his rides as garage queens as he is quite enjoys sharing them in the name of charity. One of the charity groups he is involved in believes that Bailey had raised over USD 40,000 from offering rides in his P1 over the course of his ownership. A terrific chap if you ask us!
