Triumph has just unveiled a new derivative of last year’s road-going Tiger Explorer with an off-roader for this year – the Triumph Tiger Explorer XC, which features 135bhp and 121Nm of torque from its 1,215cc 3-cylinder motor.
What differentiates the Tiger Explorer XC from last year’s road-going Tiger Explorer is that it now has tubeless steel-spoked 19” front and 17” rear wheel along with some off-road accessories that consists of hand-guards, fog lights, engine crash bars and an aluminium belly pan.
The Tiger Explorer XC also possesses a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cruise control, switchable anti-locking brakes (ABS), shaft-driven final drive and with service intervals at every 16,000km. Best of all, it also comes in every colour imaginable, just as long as it’s in khaki!
The British motorcycle maker may have allowed certain details of the Tiger Explorer XC to have been leaked out, but it’s official debut is due sometime this year at INTERMOT.
