Our live coverage of the 2009 Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race continues into its second hour. Currently in the lead in Class O are both the Petronas Syntium Team Z4’s. In the lead is the Petronas Syntium BMW #28 with a time of 2.13:560 and the second is Petronas Syntium BMW #15 with a time of 2.13:644. A great effort from the Petronas Syntium team and I would love to see them finish the race on the podium.
Leading the Class A1 is the Radical SR8 of Fugazi Racing with a time of 2.11:151. In P2 is the Lotus 2-11 of Team Empire with a time of 2.20:272 and in P3 is the Aston Martin N24 of a Hong Kong based racing team with a time of 2.22:901.
In Class A2 is the Honda Integra DC5 of Type R Garage Racing Team with a time of 2.27:947 but hot on their heels is the Honda Civic Type-R of the Honda Malaysia Racing Team with a even quicker time of 2.27:242. In P3 is the Honda Integra DC5 of G-1 JPM Racing Team with a blazing time of 2.26:204. Expect this field to be shaken up a bit.
Keiichi Tsuchiya’s J’s Racing S2000 is in 4th of Class A1 and a overall position of 14th place with a time of 2.27:694 but expect the champion’s of last year to make a great tactical comeback. The Altezza of Wing Hin Motorsports is currently in the pits but were 8th in Class A2 with a time of 2.35:405. We’ll be back.
