About five hours into the race and much has happened, four teams are officially out and another four teams are trying to see if they can repair their cars in time. Team Empire’s Lotus 2-11 went up in smoke but they still remain optimistic in repairing their car so that hasn’t been confirmed. The Petronas Z4 twins are still in the lead with a time of 2.13:644 for car #15 and 2.13:560 for car #28 and a totral of 127 laps completed.
Completing the Class O line up is the Porsche 997 GT3 of Dilango Racing of Sri Lanka with a time of 2.11:712 and a total of 124 laps.
Still leading Class A1 is the Radical SR8 of Fugazi Racing Team with a total of 120 completed laps and a lap time of 2.11:151. In second place is the Aston Martin #77 with a time of 2.22:901 and total of 117 laps. I’m not sure what the team is called but I do know the team hails from Hong Kong. Coming in third is the J’s Racing Team with Keiichi Tsuchiya among the driver line up. They recorded a time of 2.27:694 in their last lap and have a total of 117 completed laps. They’re aggressively working up up the field but it will be difficult to challenge the Radical which is highly anticipated to complete the race on top.

Leading Class A2 is the Honda Malaysia Racing Team with a time of 2.27:242 and a total of 120 completed laps. The team really does deserve a victory after working so hard for this race and a victory would be a good boost for the morale of the team. In P2 is the Type R Garage Racing team with a total of 118 completed laps and in their last lap they posted an impressive time of 2.27:947 in their Integra DC5. For Honda fans, this just goes to show that the difference between the FD2R and the DC5 ain’t much, considering this is full-out circuit racing – the ultimate proving test. In P3 is another Integra DC5 of Team G-1 JPM Racing with a time of 2.26:504 and a total of 118 completed laps.
This just in !! Team Empire and their Lotus 2-11 has been confirmed to be out of the race. The Lotus earlier did go up in smoke and now it has been confirmed that they are officially out of the race.
