After a long absence from the supercar scene, McLaren finally makes a comeback with the MP4-12C which redefines a number of concepts for the supercar. It’s a global tradition for enthusiasts of different marques to sit down and argue over which is best, and it will go on for as long as there’s two of something to be enthusiastic about. When it comes to cars though it has always been German or Italian or French or British or Japanese or American. For the context of this short introduction, let’s just stick to the first two, specifically Porsche or Ferrari. This can go on forever.

Autocar’s Steve Cropley got the chance to take a ride as he joined the development team during hot weather testing of the saloon in Kuwait.

The Rapide’s exterior styling doesn’t seem to be very enticing and doesn’t have the same effect it had on us as earlier renderings had but it’s definately something different. The camera angle’s don’t show much of the interior but one thing is sure, there’s not much room as Cropley points out. Watch the video and let us know what you think. Read the rest of this entry »
