If the torque higher it mean you can feel more G force? :questionmark:

Is it that torque determining the acceleration while horsepower determining our top speed?

Torque is the pulling power and Horsepower is Maximum power the engine can produce.
Torque normally ends at a lower RPM, where HP ends at higher RPM, that is why when you drive a car with torque of say 200nm at 4500 rpm, you can feel the car pulls aggressively until 4500rpm, and then you don't feel the surge anymore even though you are reaching 5k rpm or right up to 6k rpm

Horse power means 'how fast u can go'

Torque means 'how heavy u can carry'.. that's why lorry has a lot of torque.. they're heavy..

the G force is the feeling of high torque..

the meaning of torque to me .... faster exiting corners

POWER= TORQUE x RPM

Go compare diesels and petrol engines

tractor/trailers versus veyron 1000+ hp rest is all in the gearing....:banghead:

Ah....this make sense to me but what how much torque is consider high? Let say for V6 2liter engine?

to keep it more complicated..try this:
Car A: 350Nm@5000rpm, 270whp@7000rpm
Car B: 300Nm@4500Nm, 300whp@6500rpm

which one can win if A vs B sprint 400meter????? Both A and B is quite same in term of car weight n jockey...how? heheheh:biggrin:

That is hard to tell you, how much is considered high.
Normally long stroke engine have better low end torque for petrol that is. If compared to diesel, diesel torque is the better. However Conti cars like PUG and VW have manage to lower the RPM for torque to kick in, therefore their engine have a flat torque curve over a certain rpm range. The pull of the torque also dependent of the car weight.
Best way will be to give you some figures.
If you have tried a Mitsu Lancer, the torque according to their spec. is 199nm/4,250
Waja 1.6 is 140nm/2750, BLM 1.3 is 120nm/4000
I think you have to gauge from this figures.....

Bro can you try explain to about this dyno chart torque. Frankly speaking I do not have much concept on torque...and also as you mention nm but the chart stated as kg so it just a measure unit different like kpa and psi?

let say, two guys are doing pull up in the gym,
guy1 do 20 pull-up in 10seconds.
guy2 do 20 pull-up in 15seconds.

Guy1 have more torque than Guy2.

continue,
guy1 do another 20 pull-up, takes him 20seconds. after that he pancit d,cannot do anymore pull-up.
guy2 do another 20 pull-up, takes him 15seconds. and he continue to do more pull-up.

here, guy2 have more horsepower(or was it Manpower???):biggrin:

more torque mean you can gain speed faster, but doesn't mean more top speed.

Yup, British and American again.....like mph/kmh, kpa/psi, liters/gallon

Random Post Every 5 Minutes

to every senior:
i've decide to upgrade my Wira 1.5 SE with ULTRA RACING bars to increase the strength. Anyway, i notice that it has many type of bar, e.g:

front strut bar 4 points
front strut bar 2 points
fender bar 3 points
fender bar 2 points
rear strut bar 3 points
rear strut bar 2 points
rear upper bar
room bar
anti roll bar 16mm
anti roll bar 19mm
anti roll bar 22mm
lower arm 4 points

and i'm planning to install 2 points front strut bar, 3 points fender bar and 2...
