Always Chicken and Egg story.
I have one friend service yearly, cost RM250, 5 years RM1250.00
Another friend don't service. Air con konk in 5 years, Repairs also RM1250.00
Same cost but minus 5 years of service time.

Depend on what model and how long your car have been drive
Example : Nissan Vannette C22 full set air-cond system only RM1300 include (new compressor,New condenser ,brand new cooling coil , new condenser fan motor , piping n Receiver drier , expansion valve and ETC)

For proton wira model no matter 1.3 , 1.5 or 1.6
Only piece of recond compressor is already RM 300 brand new - RM 600
brand new condensor - rm 250
Rec-drier - RM 60
Exp valve - rm 90
Fan motor - rm 180
Labour??? Gas ??? cooling coil??

Different car have different pricing

For your info if your air-cond suddently become warm and hot

1.You should check your air-cond system (Gas level) but nt top up
2.If gas leak (Where and Why) - Air-cond gas will remain up to 10 years , gas won't be dissappear itself
3.If you only top up gas and let it run but never really check the leaking spot ,it will cause compressor oil level go low and will cause compressor jam (Damage)
4.Air-cond Theory same as Engine Theory , if ur engine is leaking , oil level become low and low, imagine what will happen to ur engine and piston when oil left 2L or 2 1/2L ???
5.If your'r in low budjet to repair ur air-cond system , you can only refill the gas n kip running but request the mechanic to refill compressor oil too.
6.But it won't last long cause gt leaking spot !!
7.You can find some used part example , Compressor , cooling coil
8.If cooling coil (under you dashboard) leaking , air-cond gas won't have big effect to ADULTS but to babys or child may cause BIG PROBLEM (asma) because air-cond contain chlorofluorocarbons (a harmful gas to human body)

I'm a mechanic and i hereby sharing some air-cond knowledge to every1 here, i believe every 1 have their own reliable mechanic or workshop.

If my air con sometimes blow cold air..but sometimes not cold (only blow air but not cold at all)..after a while it turn back to cold air

What does it means? FYI. i just service my aircon 2mths ago.

1.Mayb ur air-cond is running high pressure due to condensor can't fully function (mayb dirty or stuck)
Suggest send to shop for check or service ur air-cond , if nt compressor will be damage
