Whats the difference between WALD & VW 1.6 FSI?

Hello Guys,

I am interested in this VW 1.6FSi But i notice there is wald edition also. Do u guys know whats the difference in additional coz wald (Close Shop) website aldy down. So i cant get any other information.
If the price rm93k okey? for a 2005 mkV 1.6 fsi model and also register in 2007 april that just down less than 7k?
Whats the price now?
& is there any cruise control for it?

Hey Chua83,

my dad owns one and i think i can help you answer your question. The Wald version of VW 1.6 FSi is the same as if you were buying a VW Golf 1.6 FSi without the Wald name. The Wald badge is used to evade tax & custom only.

However, if you compared it to the one that VW Cars M'sia (official VW importer) brought in, its a different model. The one that VW Cars bring in is a Golf Plus with a standard 1.6 litre engine WITHOUT FSi technology.

There is no cruise control in the Wald Golf 1.6 FSi. and the info that you have gathered is correct. And if you do decide to take the Wald Tuning Package i suggest you ignore it and preferably go to ABT Sportsline to do your tuning. ABT specializes in tuning Audi, VW, Seat, Skoda.

P.s: FSi is a direct fuel injection technology. (more power,economical,high-torque)

the wonder of the FSI engine is the torque curve, u get peak torque from lower revs to the high revs, unlike other engines, which gives u peak only at a certain rpm.
