I knew that

Vr4
-TD04
-Smaller intercooler
-Smaller sized of injectors
-intake system looks bit different ^^;; haha
-Brake system (originally 5 holes??? can't remember)
-one of strongest block for those 2.0 engines among the Mitsubish cars.
-Basically different ECU and wiring..
-No dash board for proton users..
what else???

I'm thinking of getting Wira Vr4 (originally 1.6) then I will put back

all my Evo3 stuff but use the Vr4 block.. so I don' have to go through

JPJ inspection shits... but is it worth to keep this Vr4 stuff for spare

or sell it off?

Actuall I have very nice deal with Wira Vr4 (but original engine capacity was 1.5)
So I'm thinking of... what to do..
I heard that 1.3 -1.5 sharing the same chassis and 1.6 -1.8 sharing..
hm...

Another question...
Let's say... I wanna know whether I can use back all those spare parts from Vr4 to my Evo.. For example, can I use back Vr4's air con compressor to my evo?
last time the mechanic said.. it's different so I couldn use it..

plz share me ur opinions of this new project...

ps. original Evo body kit is illegal? so when JPJ blocks me, I need to expect
those merely minum thing or it can be simple way they might close their
eyes to pass it over?

EVO Vs VR4

GUYS!

Take it from someone who used to own a VR4 and had encounters with EVOs.

1) VR4 comes with TD05(standard) but also TD05H(RS Model) AND ALSO the Automatic version comes with TD04.

2) If you are comparing VR4 with Evo3, the only major differences are; bigger injectors, shorter intake plenum, different ECU. Other han that, everything else are the same.

3) since there are sharing the same blocks, compressors, alternators etc are interchangeable.

Starting from EVO4, the engine had been turned to the otherside, with the gearbox on the opposite side. The cylinder head is also reworked starting from EVO5.

Let me know if you guys need more info and tips on modifying VR4 engines since mine used to be rated around 330bhp, just befor I sold it.....AND it was an AUTO SHIFTER!

EVO s VR4

I am not to sure which Evo do U mean coz if U are comparing between VR4 and Evo4 upwards, the gearbox will not be interchangeable due to the different orientation but the Evo3 share the same gearbox with VR4RS, AMG tuned and Monaco which shares all other things e.g Turbocharger, injectors etc.

Those who plan to swap normal VR4 gearbox with that of VR4RS, AMG tuned and Monaco will have to change the rear axle and centre differential coz the gear ratio aren't the same...that is if you guys are using a 4wd tranny.

The intake plenum or so called intake manifold wouldn't give any major problem when swapped BUT the shorter one will be having rougher idle coz longer plenum have some equalisation/buffering effect BUT the shorter one will be more responsive!

Let me know if you guys wanna see some images of my VR4.

Cherio!
