Have you driven it before? How did it fare compared to your VR?
Drove it once when he brought to office and we drove it out for lunch. Low end very nice, suspension stiff as it is the STi version, but now VR stiff suspension just as hard.....lol

Looks like that is indeed a good car to drive. Not wrong to set my target on one.
I was planning to go for m3 swap for e36. And leave it as it is .If you spent 6k already for the conversion from auto to manual, you might as well keep the car. Selling it away for 3k is like a waste. Not like you can do much with the 3k.
What you want to do with E36 and E46? RB or JZ engine conversion? I suggest not because the work to do is troublesome. I have a friend who bought a E36 and he is thinking of doing a 2JZ-GTE conversion. Some shop quoted him RM17k including the engine price.... And you need to source custom mounting kit for that... Mind you, BMW parts are not cheap and old parts are probably hard to come by as well... Rare parts = high price...
Yup, BHP higher, handling good, AWD, boxer sound, etc.......

Subaru is a great car..hahaha..
sadly my heart leans toward older gen car due to less techy and reliability
Sitting room for rear passengers also okay right? Since it is a proper sedan car.
Woa, M3 engine is not easy to come by... The 3 litre one? Roadtax is expensive.
I like older cars as well. Easier to fix if anything goes wrong. I can live without the new high tech stuff.
Ample space at the back..somewhere myvi like leg room spaces..
Yes road tax expensive..but less headache compared to jz swap. Can be a long term project car. Yet to visit BMW specialist at seremban/subang. Blum kira2 lg.
Those under 50k WRX STI version 8 could probably be illegal singapore cars running with illegal roadtax... There are many WRX STI over there and most of them end up shipped here instead of scrapped. Lately there has been a lot of cases of singapore scrap cars going around Malaysia with cloned registration plates... Really troublesome if you are caught driving those cars.
no.... i have been to view 2 units (v7's) last year...
lets put it this way.... its a buyers market now... if they are desperate to sell and need cash, you can get them for very little. Dealerships lowballing all the time and banks not giving out loans (or the loan deals are just terrible) for these types of cars. Those who have money for a sports car are usually older guys OR those can afford much more expensive newer cars.
ohh yeah should mention... a friend bought a 350z for 35k recently haha
direct from owner. (was a stock standard early auto)...
according to the owner, shop only offered him 30k for it.
basically the high running costs put ppl off...

Due to the high displacement also, road tax also expensive. Like previous Harrier the 2.4 second hand easier to sell than the 3.0....
Quick question..
I've never own a turbo engine car and drive one on the highway.
I had wonder this for quite some time. Am i on boost/hurting the engine if i cruise the highway at 160kmh avrge?
This would be my speed if i travel up north (penang) and slightly higher down south due to better road condition. Doing this speed effortlessly with my pv6 without stopping at RnR.
:vroam:
So, if you know people and got connections, you can get a car lower than the supposed 'market price'. Never actually thought about this factor at all... Because I always thought who would sell off their car at a lower value even if they are desperate to sell...
RM35k for 350Z is real cheap... My relative who owns one 350Z spent 20k for 19" CE28 and 15k for this titanium exhaust system. My relative spent 35k for 2 mods while your friend just bought a whole car with 35k.
350z price same goes to rx8
EHHHH!!!!!!!!! also as bad!? mi i have seen was 40k but that was just one unit....
my god..... these things depreciate fast....
ahh well i guess they will stop depreciating so rapidly at one point...
can only imagine the owners face when the dealers make an offer for a 350z....
ahh well this kind of car, not easy to sell.... ppl that like it get scared away by the taxes while people who can afford that kind of tax usually have the $ to buy something better.
What I meant was, let say at 140kmh cruising rpm would be around 3.5k ..the boost kick in at 3k rpm..
Would it boost through out the journey or sooner or later the pressure would equalize
I wish sti would depreciate that fast
