Need opinion to start with my project E36..

G'day mates..

I'm gonna start on a transplant of E36 318i..
But this time using Beemers,no more Jap engines..
The problem is still haven't decide on which engine to use..

Can these engines fits nicely into E36's..?

M60-4.0 DOHC V8,

or​

M62-4.4 DOHC V8,

or​

should i go with E36's M3 and turbocharged it..?

Again i think space gonna be an issue...

Any idea of which chop shop has these including the E36's M3?..
And probably the price as well?..

I'm open for any opinion mates..

wondering half cut price of 1jz & SR20det + labour charge & misc cost.

not member's price..went to scout for it myself..got it in subang..
installed by different mech,but other custom work like oil sump,nissan's 4 pot,etc done in klang..so far very pleased with their work..

but now im planning of another conversion on a different car..

i did it on E36 as well..
but now planning a V8 or maybe get an M3 halfcut n turbocharge it..
but dunno if V8's gonna be possible..seen any M3's halfcut around?..

Hmmm tot that few months back stumbled upon this halfcut of M3 E36...looks gewd to me but no ideas lar the price and the location sumwhere around kg subang.....E36 should remain with its heart lar.....seen a friend of mine converted his E36 to 1JZ and he regrets for doing so......totally out!!!

First, computer box probs; idling not stable, second he said that he did not feel the passion of driving a BMW like it used to be (originally it was a 325i), he claimed that the parts for 1JZ is difficult to find (dunno whether it's true or not), mounting need to be readjusted every 3 months, the chassis not strong anymore.....regretted for throwing his M50B25 engine...

so far i've never regretted my RB25DET conversion..need to have a lot of patience when doin this kinda swap..but then this is juz like other projects..
only this time im gonna stick with beemers..

can you roughly give the location of the chop shop in kg subang?..

i am not that good in directing the way to the chop shop.....but it is along the road after the terminal 3 old subang airport. go further up from the traffic light (at the terminal 3) and go straight till next traffic light and then u go slow and if not mistaken the chop shop is on ur right....but i have to tell u "i tot i stumbled upon e36 m3 halfcut".....nevermind....a lot of chop shop ma....
