hi... unfortunately yes for both. not only the halfcut for turbo... last month went to a sparepart shop, i was quoted rm8++ for 1 piece of a lantis 1.8 driveshaft. crazy!!!!

i used to replace my stock d/shaft for my Lynx TX3...and it was atleast 3-4 years back.
I get it from h/cut and u know how much it is? Almost RM400 for the whole pc (short one).
So now i still keep the original part to recon it.. atleast as a spare part for future..
Sometimes its not about a cost, but the availability is much concern.. i looked for it almost 6 months due to there are too many different sizes of diameter and length...

H/cut B8210/BPD about 9.5k
Gearbox 1.8 about 2.5k
Driveshaft about 500-600

Availability depends, need to go to half cut shops and ask from time to time as they are hot items among mazda/ford owners. Areas around Puchong/Cheras/Sg Besi. Sometimes can order with the h/cut owners, if they go to japan on next trip they will try lookout for the engine for you and bring back but need deposit.

F/C about RM 50 300km unmod and RM50 200-250km highly mod, depends on driving condition and right foot.

Hmmmm.... there r still few loyal B8 of Ford/Mazda eh??? Well I used TX3 before, I can confessed that its top speed was such a legendary for standard 1.8L with 140bhp. To reach 220kmh was so easy but towards 230kmh took a bit of time.

Never had a chance to feel B8 turbo but Ford original NA engine was just enuf. I still own some of the parts like engine, gearbox, drive shaft, dash, door, glasses etc.

Well there is still lots of loyal B8 users.. As that engine is really tough.. U can really push hard on that engine.. Mostly B8 N/A and B8 Turbo mostly joined killerbees already.. D ford and mazda team..
