since u wan sportcar n don mind bout 2nd hand. celica manual is ur choice. get the super strut edition. although it is expensive to replace the suspension but the handling is way better than normal 1.
if u plan to drop a K20A type r engine to the civic, then juz get civic FD. furthermore it is 4 doors as others said, can fetch more chicks

Celica turns more head. Civic is pretty common unless you have intention to mod to stands out from the other civics.

Performance wise, try driving both cars then judge it yourself. FC wise, they are about the same, in stock form that is.
