hi guys!

since theres already a thread for engine oil, why not we have another one on gearbox oil

so all of you honda owners out there, what is your choice of oil for lsd or non lsd gear box?

theres alot of choices ranging from motul to penzoil, redline ...:driver:.

(motul has the most expensive price if im not mistaken)

i strongly recommend u guys to use MTF-III LSD HONDA made in Japan, it's a 4l metal tank. it costs arounfd RM210, but I got 1 from jalan ipoh Lin Hup Seng for RM185, i think it's well worth to the best protection and performance of yr LSD gearbox man... u'll feel the difference!!!

i hv tried other oil on my B18C, but i felt abit stiffness evertime when i change the gear especially starting from gear 1, until i use MTF-III Honda genuine oil. Since then, it goes smooth~~~ prescious yr LSD gear box m8, it deserves better oil!!!

I would use only Honda recommended gear oil. They manufactured the gears so they know what oil is best. I haven't broken a gearbox yet because i use their oil....

I've been using motul lsd(the RM108) ones.
And up till now no complains, anyone tried before and compare to genuine honda and Kaaz?
I've never tried other brands so cant really compare.

Yup it's true....for Honda's, either you use the ori gb oil from Honda or use 15w50 engine oil for non-lsd and 10w60 for lsd gearbox :-)
