good Q,
happened to me before... hard to choose between E8MR or E9.
Some people poison/support to take E8MR some E9
E8MR kinda old model & price some time could be consider (around RM160K in my place la, peninsular sure cheaper)
E9 latest model + Mivec... & price little bit high some almost reach RM200K (KK area...)

base on the advise/read/info i get from the other E owner...
get the E8MR due to nice body parts + last non Mivec model... but maybe u could find E9MR...

bottom of all depends on your heart... let it direct you which one to choose...

i choose E8MR coz it's my dream car since 2006... (before that E3....on 1999....ehheheh):driver:
stock MR you can boost little bit high compare to the others stock...

don't look back after you choose.... just enjoy the ride you choose...

happy choosing bro...

hi Modellista,

base on my experience. I manage to boost constantly at 1.4-1.6bar (along the way about 50km) at RPM 5-7k... after all that what shown on the DEFI meter.:driver:

according to the EVO manual the MR series:-

1- has been install the 5-ply metal gasket & additional pistons V-shaped groove added
2- 2nd piston rings have 10.5N on Tension also End to End gap 0.30-.145mm...
3- cam height also 35.96 compare to non MR only 35.79
4- oil rings has been treated with chrome nitride. thickness of the side rail has been reduce from 1.7mm to 1.63mm. to increasing durability & reduce oil consumption... (i use full tank only 4 days approximately 320km... town drive everyday... adui...)
5- counter balance shaft was changed to reduce weight...

with this Mitsu claim the MR series could boost higher then others.
after all the statement above i collect from the manual i have for super stock mode...

if some mistake maybe the sifu could correct me.... thanks:wavey:

sorry thread starter... off topic at the moment...
if you look for calsonic radiator for E7, please contact evokit... he can help you out...
