Mine also DIY like Mr.Bear, after sometime the paint does chip off. It's like getting spots on the paint. I did apply heat resistant paint(silver) before spraying the red.

* mine now still ok. might be its still new. need to c the results after 2-3 months.

why i dont think of spraying heat resistant spray (black/silver). then spray on top of it red? mmmmmm mmmmmmmmmm :Not_Impressed: :retarded:

nice work la abg... thought i wanna diy my 4G93 head too.. but dont dare to take it off.. nanti tak ble pasang balik habis... n need to cover the engine from anything anot or juz leave it open like dat while we diy..

n really curious bout the heat resistant la.. wanna find a blue metallic, not those 2k type ones, but abit matt.. semi gloss.. never manage to found any yet.. mostly are matt black n silver..

n hope u post the updates for the paint job after constant driving n heat endurance.. thx brother bear..
* thankx bro. just a small easy work. hahaha..
u can take off ur head cover if u got enough tools. no worries!

u can cover ur head with newspaper. then close ur bonnet. nuthing will happen.

bout heat resistant. from all shops i went thru. heat resistant spray only available in black or silver. other than that is not available. ive seen lots of spray cans colors. till make my eyes blind..

since DIY my head till now. seems all ok. no faded sports,no cracks n chips. might be its still new. need to c the results after 2-3 months perhaps??

enjoy ur DIY!!
