hi all, near my place there is an aircond workshop who does custom cooling coil made by aluminium. it will make cooling faster since aluminium has better heat transfer property and easier on your compressor as workload should be lessened. i think it would be a great mod for our aircond system especially for those who want cooler aircond without sacrificing fc and engine performance like myself :D

but is this new or people already talked about for long time on the streets??

standard cooling coil was already made from thin aluminium which is the best for efficiency...

but the best in cooling shud be copper pipe with aluminium cooling fin.....(but downside was copper is expensive) <<even at kedai besi buruk copper=+-rm30/kg

how much it costs ah?
cos i kept 2 of my bocor cooling coil.
i am not sure also, my brother told me bout this but he also never asked haha :D

Interesting. Where is this place?
its in selayang baru near temple beside row of schools. the boss is friendly, he's specialized in aircond and he custom made lots of aircond parts

O then the custom made coil is not that special after all haha :D but it makes sense cause copper got better heat transfer rate than aluminium, but i think it would add up some weight right? plus copper can tarnish also, not like aluminium...

i think it was still special because u might get a different design that was better than stock cooling coil in term of air flow or other parameter......

well if your cooling coil was leaking badly and need replacement it wouldn't be wrong to try this custom coil... :adore:

^pomen_GTR^ is right about copper pipes + alu fins...

copper is a better heat conductor

while aluminium is better at dissipating heat...

best example? look at high end aftermarket CPU heatsinks... most are running that config (copper base/pipes & alu fins)

i think EG fans will love this...stock JDM EGs have lousy condensers...i'm planning to install a 2nd condenser so am wondering if this guy can somehow do a custom mini condenser?

The Porsche Boxster. In my mind, it is perhaps the most iconic sports car of all time. Something I could possibly attain in my lifetime. A poster of the 986 Boxster was on my wall for a good 8 years, before it yellowed so badly, I had to take it down. That poster is still under my bed. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I don't like soft-tops. But I'd take a...
